River marks the rollout of 20,000 Indies amid rapid retail and production expansion
Achieved within two years of launch, the milestone reflects strong demand, expanding retail presence, and the company’s manufacturing ramp-up in Hoskote

Bengaluru, 10th December 2025: River Mobility, the electric vehicle manufacturer, has reached another significant milestone with the rollout of its 20,000th Indie scooter from its manufacturing facility situated in Hoskote, Karnataka. This milestone comes just six months after the 10,000-unit mark, driven by strong demand and a growing dealer network. Recent expansions include Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi and Maharashtra.
River recently launched the latest iteration of its flagship model, the Indie Gen 3 and expanded into North India with its company-owned store in Delhi. The brand is now gearing up for the next phase of expansion and aims to scale its network across the country. It has plans to introduce new products, and significantly ramp up production capacity to meet rising demand among urban riders.
River’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Hoskote underpins the brand’s ability to meet growing demand while maintaining high production standards. The facility supports the company’s expanding retail network and enables River to consistently deliver quality products to customers across India. With production processes designed for scalability, the brand is well-positioned to support its near-term retail expansion and strengthen its presence in key markets.

Commenting on the milestone, Aravind Mani, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of River Mobility, said, “Achieving the 20,000-Indie milestone in just under two years is a clear sign that our customers see value in what we’re building, and it reflects the trust our dealer principals have placed in us. As we expand to more cities and scale up production at our factory, we remain committed to improving the experience for every rider.”
River continues to strengthen its position in South India, where the brand has seen steady growth across cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, and Coimbatore. With close to 40 stores now operational, the company is set to enter Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat, further building on its strong retail momentum.
