River expands retail footprint in the East with Patna store launch

Patna, 17th September 2025: Bengaluru-based EV brand River has opened its first store in Patna, expanding its retail footprint to Bihar. The new store showcases River’s flagship electric scooter, Indie, along with a curated range of exclusive accessories and lifestyle merchandise. Launched in partnership with Sai Mobility Services, the store spans 1249 sq. ft. and is supported by a dedicated service center located a few kilometers away, covering 2339 sq. ft. to meet all maintenance and customer support needs.

Speaking on the launch, Aravind Mani, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, River, said, “Launching in Patna is a milestone for River, as it marks our entry into East India and strengthens our national retail footprint. As a Bengaluru-based brand, we have remained focused on strengthening our presence in high-growth markets, and Bihar is central to that vision. River Store Bailey Road features an immersive layout inspired by pebbles, flow lines, and organic forms. Its aesthetic theme mirrors the brand’s philosophy—movement, ease, and fitting into everyday Indian life. A key visual zone depicts how the Indie integrates into daily life with style and utility. The space embodies River’s core idea: helping people move from where they want to be.

Following Patna, River will expand to Delhi, Jaipur, and Indore, further strengthening its presence in Western and Northern India as part of its broader pan-India growth strategy. River currently runs 32 stores across cities, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Coimbatore, and Hubli. 

The Indie is priced at INR 1,44,999 (ex-showroom, Patna). Customers can visit the store for test rides, book the scooter, or explore River merchandise. They can also book test rides or purchase online via https://www.rideriver.com/
